I-tip hair extensions are a type of semi-permanent hair extensions. They are called "I-tip" because the extension hair is pre-bonded with a small, cylindrical-shaped tip in the letter "I" form.
Unlike U-tip extensions that use a keratin bond, I-tip extensions are attached to the natural hair using small metal beads or rings. The I-tip extension is threaded through a small section of the natural hair, and then a metal bead or ring is clamped tightly to secure the extension in place.
